Grew up in the Bay Area. She attended University of Pacific and graduated with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. Growing up in a humble family with limited possessions and finances, she knew what it was like to be restricted. With this understanding, she thrived harder in school and in the work force. It wasn’t until 2008, when she had the luxury to move back to Vietnam and realized that she was more blessed than most people around the world; a world of poverty and underprivileged populations. She witnessed people struggling to survive day by day with no outlets to excel or breakthrough poverty. She wanted to make a difference, to help as many people as possible, to make an impact, to provide and empower them with something that could help them for a lifetime. Her prayer was answered when she met BeCause for Hope organization who also believe that education is the means to help the less fortunate to escape poverty. Education is an intellectual instrument that will empower them with confidence to progress and improve their lives. She is a true believer in this quote, “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” She believes that education will feed “him” for a lifetime.
