Named after scholar Doan Khue of Minh Mang Dynasty in 1800s, who was the pioneer in expanding the dynasty to the southern Vietnam, the middle school is home of 254 students spreading over 8 classes. Located about 45km from the nearest city Nam Dinh, the school is in Nghia Thanh Commune, Nghia Hung, Nam Dinh. In term of economic conditions, people in the commune relies heavily on agriculture, small businesses, and craft labor. Due to limited resources and work within the agriculture & livestock, many of the people in the commune have to seek job opportunities in other industrial cities far away from home such as Lam Dong and Dak Nong. One third of the students are from low-income families. Most of them are from families with limited opportunities to move away for better job.
