Tri Le 1 Elementary School is located at Ban Chau Village, Tri Le Commune, Van Quan District in Lang Son Province. Situated near the northeast border with China, Tri Le 1 is part of the remote region with tough terrain. The closest city Lang Son is nearly 60km away.
The school consists of 135 students locating at 2 different campuses. The main campus is at Ban Chau Village with 85 students. The satellite location is Po Don in Na Chuong Village with 69 students. 100% of the population are ethnic minorities and living based on agriculture. The poverty rate is 70%.
The school has a library room and dedicated staff to maintain the program. The library is equipped with number of books, mostly documents and reference books for teachers. However there is limited selection of books for the students. They lack of age appropriate book titles and leisure reaching books.
