Phuoc Thanh Elementary School is located in Phuoc Thanh, Bac Ai town, Ninh Thuan (Central Vietnam). Bac Ai is a small town, 381 km from Saigon, populated mostly by ethnic minorities and its economy relies mostly on agriculture.
There are 235 students enrolling at this school, 77% from low income families and 98% are ethnic minorities. The school has a library, a few old bookshelves, no table or chairs, 107 old books mostly donated by an elementary school in Phan Rang City. Teaching aid materials are old and inadequate and need to be replaced.
