• The school currently does not have a library or reading room; specialized books for teachers andstudents here are few; there are no computers to serve the information search needs of teachersand students.
• The students here do not have much access to books, stories, and information technology, so theycan not read quickly, write fluently according to their age and chances to improve theireducational level, expand their knowledge and get closer to the development of modern society isvery difficult.

• As part of 2019 Charity Mission, BeCause will provide school supplies including notebooks, pens, pencils, rulers. Other commodities such as bookshelves, books and computers will also be provided.

Mu Cang Chai District, Yen Bai is one of the rare lands which is surrounded by the beautiful mountains and famous for its beautiful terraced fields, which is the destination for many adventurers and photographers. The nature here really captivates people … Despite living among the best that Mother Nature has to offer, people here are living well below the normal living standards… Here, it is not rare to catch sight of skinny children walking barefoot to school in the cold winter. Regardless, the teachers still try to bring knowledge to the students, to nurture their dreams, their desire to learn but the facilities here are extremely poor and needy… One prime example is Khao Mang Secondary School, located in Khao Mang commune, one of the poorest communes in Mu Cang Chai district, Yen Bai province.

With the desire to help students here gain more and more knowledge, BeCause For Hope volunteer organization has launched the project “Bringing the library to highland” for Khao Mang school. For me, this is a very significant project.

I decided to join my friends in establishing the project team “Khao Mang Spotlight” to accompany with BeCause For Hope to somehow help raising awareness, calling friends and relatives to Khao Mang. Our Project Team is expected to take joint actions and individual actions. Our goal is to raise funds to buy various kinds of books and computers to give our kids a friendly and useful library. I feel extremely lucky to be able to participate in this project. Myself, in addition to reducing my daily expenses, I will proceed to make drinks myself to sell and use my savings to sell some more items to make extra profit for the fund. In addition, I will encourage people to donate books, children’s stories, and school supplies for the library.
