Kim Son is a charity school which offers primary education for students from underprivileged families in Vinh Luong located 15 km north of Nha Trang. Founded at the Kim Son Pagoda in 1994 by the Buddhist nun, Thich Nu Dieu Phuc, the school has been opening its door to many under-served children to obtain basic education. Many parents cannot afford the fees of public schools, so the nuns at Kim Son have taken it upon themselves to ensure the children in their community receive standard education in order for them to prepare for higher education. The school is registered under the Department of Education, therefore their curriculum allows the students to continue pursuing higher education once they decide to transfer out of the school. Kim Son also has a free vocational school for those seeking a career in tailoring. Current 60-100 students from grade 1 to 5. BeCause will support the school by providing: – Standard curriculum books for students from grade 1 to 5 – Stationary supplies and/or uniforms
