Ly Tu Trong Library
This campaign
successfully reached its
funding goal and ended
Located in Tay Giang, Quang Nam, bordering with Laos, Ly Tu Trong Middle School is home to over 300 students with 95% from Co Tu minority group. Tay Giang is one of 62 poorest districts in Vietnam with 85% of families considered as poor under national average. Due to the long distance travel from home, lack of transportations & infrastructure, in addition to seasonal flood situations, most students live and stay at the school throughout the year. They visit their homes and families only on weekends. Due to limited funding and budget constraints, the school is currently overcrowded and the facility is deteriorating. Our partner, Children of Vietnam, has been working at the school for the past two years to improve infrastructure and living conditions. BeCause team is very excited to lend a hand in establishing a library at the school, which will allow students to access more reading materials, and an enhanced leisure experience while living at the school. What we will support:
- Additional reading materials including academic, science, literature, & leisure books
- Computer
- Projector
